The attached chart has the COBRA rates for continuing coverage after employment. There are limits in terms of how long after termination you can remain on COBRA. This information will be provided to any terminated employees.
COBRA rates are high, because the former employee is paying the full premium.
It's very likely a person could find more affordable coverage by going to healthcare.gov and clicking on the home state, to see what plans are available. In some cases, a former employee may quality for reduced premiums.
