The way we set up the plans with Cigna was to have the deductibles and max out-of-pocket amounts accumulate on a calendar year basis through 12/31/2024. We also set the plans to provide deductible & out-of-pocket credit from previous carrier (also Cigna, but from Hanesbrands plans).
We’ll be obtaining a report from Cigna at the end of October with information about how much you paid towards your deductible and maximum out of pocket for 2024.
Balances transfer dollar-per-dollar, however the new plans will operate under the new plan design. For example, with the Base plan’s $5,000 family deductible, if someone had met their $4,000 deductible under a prior Hanesbrands plans, they will get $4,000 deductible credit (assuming you paid $4,000 on your old plan), but will still need to satisfy the remaining $1,000 deductible amount under our plan before coinsurance applies (plan pays 80%, member pays 20%).
Deductibles & max-out-of-pockets will reset to $0 on 1/1/25, then accumulate thru 10/31/2025.
